Mary Beth Boch is selection and resources administrator for the JSK Journalism Fellowships. She is often the first point of contact for journalists who are considering applying for the program. She handles the dozens of logistical details that keep JSK’s multi-layered selection process moving smoothly.
Mary Beth also brings her calm and steady presence to her work with new fellows as they relocate to Stanford from communities around the world. She provides information and tips for navigating the logistics of this transition. Her goal is for each fellow to arrive on campus free from distractions and ready to focus on their fellowship work.
Mary Beth also maintains relationships on campus and off to ensure fellows have access to housing, health insurance and visas, when needed.
Her career at Stanford began in 2008. She first worked in the Undergraduate Admissions Office followed by the School of Medicine. Previously she was a fraud investigator in the insurance industry.
She graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
