During her two years working as Reuters’ senior correspondent in Kabul, Amie Ferris-Rotman began to notice a glaring omission from the international coverage of Afghanistan. There were no female Afghan journalists working for the foreign news outlets that were reporting from that country. Ferris-Rotman has set out to address this, with an approach that’s drawn the support of the International Women’s Media Foundation.
