Djordje Padejski
Djordje Padejski the associate director for post-fellowship programs at the JSK Journalism Fellowships. He focuses on helping alumni to continue to succeed in journalism and stay connected to each other and JSK.
Under his leadership, the program’s alumni initiatives have expanded and now include meetups, a regular e-newsletter and virtual office hours during which he offers advising on everything from identifying funding sources to effective pitching. He also connects current fellows with alumni who can help inform and advance their fellowship work.
In addition to his work at JSK, Djordje is earning his PhD in computational journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. He researches the impact of AI on journalism and news media ecosystems, with an emphasis on both disruptive and transformational aspects.
Previously, Djordje worked as an investigative journalist with several news organizations including the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and The Center for Investigative Journalism in Serbia, which he founded and directed. He also developed journalism tools such as FOIA Machine, which he conceptualized during his 2012 JSK Fellowship.
Djordje serves as a senior board advisor to the Investigative Editing Corps. He earned degrees in world literature and theory of literature from the University of Belgrade.
