Emily Chebet

Emily Chebet is a Kenyan health, science and environment journalist with a decade of experience reporting for television, radio and digital platforms. Her work focuses on the intersection of public health, climate change and community resilience, with a focus on translating complex scientific research into accessible, human-centered storytelling.

For the past decade, she has reported from clinics, labs, drought-hit villages, and policy roundtables, translating complex research into stories that move audiences and influence decision-makers. She has worked alongside leading African scientists, clinicians and policymakers, uncovering innovations rarely amplified by mainstream media.

Her storytelling is shaped by years of experience in TV, radio and digital media, and strengthened by her background in video editing and multimedia production.

She holds a master’s degree in communication studies from the University of Nairobi. She is a fellow of the Earth Journalism Network and an award winner in health and science storytelling.
