John-Allan Namu is an investigative journalist and CEO of Africa Uncensored, an independent media house he co-founded in 2015. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Namu has established himself as a leading voice in African investigative journalism, dedicated to uncovering complex truths. Africa Uncensored produces indepth documentaries and features focusing on critical issues such as corruption, human rights abuses, governance failures and their effects on ordinary citizens across the continent. Namu’s work tackles sensitive subjects often avoided by mainstream media, including exposés on wartime corruption in South Sudan, illicit financial flows revealed in the Pandora Papers, and systemic issues affecting vulnerable populations in Kenya. He began his career at the Kenya Television Network (KTN), eventually heading its investigative desk.  His journalism has earned numerous accolades, including multiple awards as Kenya's Journalist of the Year, the 2019 TRACE Prize for Investigative Reporting, and the prestigious 2024 ICFJ Knight International Journalism Award.
