Natalia Algarín Sánchez

Natalia Algarín Sánchez is a senior project curator and strategist who works at the intersection of editorial development, partnerships and audience engagement. 

She is currently working with El País US on strategy and editorial partnerships in support of the publication’s expansion across the United States.

Over the past 16 years, Algarín, who relocated to the U.S. from her native Colombia a few years ago, has worked across the Americas and the Caribbean, designing and leading multidisciplinary initiatives that strengthen journalism, connect newsrooms with their audiences and encourage cross-sector collaboration. Her work encompasses editorial projects, fellowships, festivals, grants, and public programs centered on storytelling, creativity, and community. 

Algarín has collaborated with leading organizations, including Fundación Gabo, El Faro, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Enlace Latino NC, Factchequeado and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). 

She specializes in strategic storytelling, curation and engagement, connecting disciplines, partners and audiences across diverse cultural contexts.
