Ramsey G. Tesdell

Ramsey G. Tesdell is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Sowt Media, a leading digital media company producing high-quality and premium content focusing on Arabic-speaking audiences. He is also a founding partner of 7iber, a leading independent news magazine in Jordan. Sowt was one of the first podcast companies in the Arab speaking world and is focused on narrative non-fiction content. Its award winning content has topped the Apple Podcasts charts many times. Beyond Sowt, Tesdell is a board member of the Febrayer Network for independent media in MENA. He has dedicated his professional life to providing access to high quality, independent content and finding different ways to support this important work financially. He was selected as a Ford Global Fellow in 2021, is a judge for the International Documentary Association, served as an advisory board member to the Google/PRX Podcast Creators Program, and a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. Tesdell also mentors and works with new media startups, focusing specifically on media strategy and business development.
